•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the KMC’s Water project Jai Hind at Dhapa. The new plant will supply 30 million gallons of water and reiterated that no tax will be imposed on water. She said that this kind of water projet will help the city people to get purified water. She also announced few developmental projects alongwith a number of projects of amusent. Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the revamped aquatic park at Captain Bhery.

•   Union Minister for Shipping, Road transport and Highways Mr. Nitin Gadkari had a meeting with Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna along with the senior officials. At a joint press conference, it was announced that massive investments in ports and roads sector in West Bengal will be made. Hon’ble Chief Minister said that the state government would provide whatever support was required and extend full cooperation.

•   A worldclass ecotourism project is being implemented in the Sunderbans, the mangroves forest. To explore the opportunity Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee arrived Sunderbans accompanied by the officials and the key industrialists. She laid the foundation stone of the budjet and star category ecoresort and named it ‘Jhar’. After fulfillment of the said project, the Suderbans will be the dream destination of the global tourists. A wildlife park and tiger rescue and rehabilitation centre has also been initiated, on the same day. As a result, the socio-economic impact on the state will be very much positive, as well. A wildlife park and tiger rescue and rehabilitation centre named ‘Baghrya Sundari’ has also been initiated by her, on the same day at Jharkhali. Besides those, Hon’ble Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of several new projects and distributed benefits.

•   Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the Indian border with Bangladesh and spoke to the ‘Chitmahal’ people. She was also present in an official programme at Dinhata in Coochbehar, where she laid foundation stones and inaugurated a slew of developmental projects. •  Two International highways running through West Bengal connecting Nepal and Bhutan with Bangladesh are going to be built. The commencement of work was flagged off from Jalpaiguri by Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. She also inaugurated a sports complex and an indoor stadium along with a host of other new projects and facilities.
