•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the `Uttar Banga Utsav` (North Bengal Festival) at Kanchanjangha Stadium, Siliguri. On this occasion she inaugurated North Bengal Dental College & Hospital and Fair Price Medicine Shop at Siliguri SD Hospital. In that meeting she distributed Financial assistance @Rs.50,000/- each to 50 clubs, @Rs. 25,000/- each (2nd Phase) to 70 clubs, @Rs. 10,000 each to 100 poor & meritorious students and Education kit to 25 poor students. Besides these she also distributed some benefits to the poor people. She conferred `Bongo Samman` on eminent personalities. •  Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal M K Narayanan hoisted the Indian National Flag on the 64th Republic Day at Red Road. Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was present at the programme. The entire programme was marked with a Parade and a colourful procession of tableaus.

•   In presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the 37th International Kolkata Book Fair was inaugurated by eminent academician of Bangladesh, Prof. Anisuzzaman at Milan Mela Prangan. Hon'ble Finance Minister of Bangladesh Janab Abul Mal Abdul Muhith, President of B & PG Sudhangshu Dey, General Secretary of P & BG Tridib Kr. Chatterjee, novelist Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay were also present in this occasion.

•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attended a special programme organized at the Netaji Bhawan to commemorate the 116th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. She paid tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on this occasion. She announced that the State Government plans to construct a monument in Subhasgram, near Baruipur in South 24-Parganas. The special attraction of the programme was the glorious presence of 116 children dressed like Netaji.

•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee felicitated yesteryear football players at Canning Sports Complex for their contribution to football. She also gave the Sundarban Cup 2012 to the winning football team. She distributed Kisan Credit Card, Patta, Nijo Bhumi Nijo Griho, Geetanjali housing scheme etc to the poor people. She also distributed bicycles to school girls and scholarships to students, cheques under the Indira Awas Yojna, Fishing nets and baskets to fish farmers, vegetable carts to vegetable vendors, education loans to SC and ST women and minorities, Rs 7 lakh to 36 families under the women welfare scheme, grants to set up school building under Sarva Shiksha Mission.

•  The new integrated terminal of the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. She appealed to the Airport Authority of India to allow more flights to fly from the Kolkata airport and construct more airports in various areas of the state. Hon’ble Chief Minister also asked the aviation authorities to ensure that more foreign airlines operated in the city and sought night landing facility at Bagdogra airport.

•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed two public meetings, one at Barajagulia, Nadia another at Sadhapur, North 24-parganas. At Nadia she inaugurated 3 Kishan Mandis at Krishnanagar, Ranaghat & Hanskhali, 2 ITI at Chapra & Kaliganj, SC/ST hostel at Tehatta, 2 College Girls’ Hostels and 2 High School Boy’ Hostels. She also inaugurated one High Primary School. At North 24-Parganas she laid foundation stone Polytechnic at Bhabla, ITI at Nimta and 6 Girls’ Hostel and inaugurated 5 Piped Water Supply Projects. In both the places she distributed some benefits to the poor people of the area concerned.

•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a public meeting at Belda in West Midnapore. She laid the foundation stone of Vidyasagar Industrial Park, four schools with hostel facilities and Aniket Bridge over the river Kangsabati. She inaugurated Model School at Gopiballavpur-2 Block, 11 Piped Water supply Projects and 5 Girls' Hostels. There she announced that new colleges will be set up at keshari, Gopiballavpur-2, Kharagpur-2, Chandrakona-2 and Beldah. On this occasion the Hon'ble Chief Minister distributed some benefits to the people.

•  The Three-day-long Industrial Summit 'Bengal Leads 2013' was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Haldia. A large number of delegates from business fraternity and industries from India and abroad attended the summit. She inaugurated the three-day-long `World Youth Festival` at the Yuva Bharati Krirangan in Salt Lake. The spectacular programme began with the lighting of lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the Hon’ble Governor along with others.The special attraction of this programme was the glorious presence of 150 children in the well-known outfit that resembles Swami Vivekanada.

She laid the foundation stone of Kazi Nazrul University, 3 Piped Water Supply Schemes and Durgapur Industrial Estate Phase-II. She also inaugurated a Self Help Group Show Room at City Centre, Durgapur and 2 nos Piped Water Supply Scheme of Baraboni Block. Besides those Hon’ble Chief Minister also distributed number of benefits as Kishan Credit Cards, pre-matric scholarships for the minorities, Nijo Griho Nijo Bhumi, Indira Awas Yojana and National Family Benefit scheme etc. to the poor people.

She inaugurated Multipurpose Cold Storage and 2 Minority Girls Hostel. Besides that Hon’ble Chief Minister also distributed a number of benefits to the poor people.
