•   Hon’ble Chief Minister chaired an administrative review meeting with the district officials of Purba Bardhaman district, at Sanskriti Lokmancha. In the meeting the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of all the development schemes of the state government in the district. Later, on her way, she visited a local school and spent a quality time with the students and teachers of the school. She made a halt at Alisha Baikunthapur village in Purba Bardhaman and overwhelmed by their warmth. It was a very nice experience to get to know the feelings of these Adivasi people, said the Hon’ble Chief Minister.

•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in New Digha, today. Amidst 5 acres of greenery, lies the state-of-the-art ‘Dighashree’, Bangla International Convention Centre, a place equipped to host both international and national-level business conclaves, as well as being a tourist attraction. The four-storey building will house an exhibition centre, a seminar hall, a conference room and a modern auditorium with a seating capacity for 1,000 people.

•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated Khadyashree Bhavan, the headquarters of the State Food and Supplies Department, from a programme for inaugurating MSME industrial parks in Howrah, held at Nabanna Sabhaghar. This flagship scheme of the State Government has been highly successful, helping the people from across the State access quality foodgrains at a price of only Rs 2 per kg. Besides this, a host of employment initiatives including inaugurations, announcements took place in this programme.

•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished all, on the 73rd Independence Day . She hoisted the national flag at a programme on Red Road. In her speech, among other things, she said that democracy is the most priceless asset of India. She also asked the people to take a vow to never divide the country. Eight police personnel were awarded medals, in this programme. Following the medal ceremony, the march past took place by the police. Colourful tableaus highlighting various schemes of the State Government, social awareness-related messages, water conservation and environmental pollution went in procession. Students from various schools also participated in this cultural programme. The overall theme this time was ‘Moder Gorbo Bangla’.

•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was present in the ceremony of the Sixth Kanyashree Divas at Nazrul Mancha. Over 60 lakh girls in schools, colleges and universities across the State has benefitted by this project. On this occasion, Hon'ble Chief Minister awarded girls who had achieved excellence in various fields, including education, sports and others.

•  Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the museum devoted to the life and teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the Bagbazar area of north Kolkata. The programme was organised by the Gaudiya Mission, Bagbazar. The museum is aimed at spreading the messages of peace and love as propagated by Lord Chaitanya.

Ministers, MPs, MLAs along with State administrative officials took part of this rally. People from all walks of life, representatives of different NGOs, school and college students also took part in it.
