•  State Government paid homage to noted educationist ‘Banglar Bagh’ Sir Ashutosh Mukherjee on his 150th Birth Anniversary at West Bengal Legislative Assembly.
•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had a meeting with Mr. Anil Goswami, Officer on Special Duty in the Union Home Ministry, at Writers` Buildings, discussed issues regarding International border, infiltration etc. Senior State officials were also present at the meeting.
•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took the initiative to send chartered flights to Uttarakhand to bring back the stranded tourists safely.
•  Addressing a Press Conference at Writers’ Buildings, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that around 1700 tourists from West Bengal are stranded in several places of Uttarakhand and arrangements should be made to airlift tourists and pilgrims belonging to this state. She said that she has spoken to the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Uttarakhand, and has requested him for taking initiative to rescue the tourists and pilgrims from West Bengal, who are stranded mainly in the Kedarnath area. She said that Hon'ble Sports Minister Madan Mitra and Hon'ble Minister of Planning Department Rachhpal Singh are being sent to follow up the rescue mission.
•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the residence of the deceased girl at Kamduni, assured the family that actions are being taken against the offenders. She also assured justice to the family of the deceased girl.
•  Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had a meeting with JDU leader K.C.Tyagi at Writers` Buildings, discussed the current political scenario of the country.
•  Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was present in a memorial programme for the filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh, held at Nazrul Mancha. A number of eminent personalities from the different levels of the film industry were also present in the programme to pay tribute to the departed filmmaker.
