•  Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee informed that, West Bengal got National Award - first prize for 100 days work programme for livelihoods promotion and convergence, as per announcement of Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. Bankura and Cooch Behar districts got best performance awards, first and second respectively, on all India basis. Baburmahal Gram Panchayet of Kulpi, South 24 Paraganas also got the best performance award. She added that, the dedication, hard and innovative work of entire team from the State, District, GP and up to village level along with continuous monitoring, resulted to the achievement. Hon’ble Chief Minister congratulated the entire team for such an outstanding performance.

•  The two-day Bengal Business Conclave came to a close today at Digha. The closing session was presided over by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the presence of Finance, Industries & Commerce Minister Dr. Amit Mitra, Transport Minister Subhendu Adhikari, representatives of various industries. Infrastructure, transport, urban development, tourism and IT were some of the key areas, explored at the conclave. Hon’ble Chief Minister congratulated the representatives, diplomats, captains of the industries – big and small and artisans, media and the local administration for their full support.

•  The two-day Bengal Business Conclave was inaugurated at Digha in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. After a very successful first day of the Bengal Business Conclave, national and international delegates were enthralled by a magnificent cultural evening at the sea shore of Digha. An assembly of 102 boul artists enthralled the august gathering with their soulful renditions. Bengal's rich folk dance forms along with a combination of classical as well as modern dance performances were presented before the guests.
