Chakla, North 24 Paraganas
• Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated a series of developmental projects in
North 24 Paraganas. She also offered prayers to Lokenath at Chakla Dham.

Kanchenjunga Stadium, Siliguri
• Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended assistance to the state-wide
Krishakbandhu (New) scheme at a government programme at the Kanchenjunga Stadium in
Siliguri. Apart from this, she also initiated the provision of bicycles to 12 lakh 24 thousand
students of government and government-sponsored schools and madrasahs in West Bengal
through the Sabuj Sathi project. The Hon'ble Chief Minister laid foundation stone of 28 public
projects and inaugurated 14 projects. About 12,000 people were provided government
services from the same programme.

• Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was present in a public distribution programme in
Alipurduar. Several welfare initiatives and announcements were made aiming to facilitate
crucial government schemes and services to uplift the lives of local people there.

Kurseong, Darjeeling
• On the visit to North Bengal, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee distributed public
services to the people of Darjeeling and Kalimpong. She inaugurated statues of legendary
freedom fighters Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, and Deshbandhu
Chittaranjan Das at Mal, Darjeeling. Hon’ble Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation
stones for several projects in Darjeeling and Kalimpong, that include the enhancement of
infrastructure, medical services, education, and various other sectors that would significantly
contribute to the development of the hills. For the assistance of the victims of the Teesta
disaster, West Bengal government provided an ex-gratia amount of Rs 70,000 to each
family. She also announced different beneficial schemes for the GTA employees and tea
garden workers and their families.
